New club forms

is now hosted at
'Gold Fields'
... the Equine Sports Breeding & Training Centre.

The next Eventing Clinic is on

MARCH 27th & 28th

to especially help those riders who are competing at the 2010 Pony Club State Championships.

Help arrives!

Stephen Rogers from Virginia, USA has come over to help me get back on track.
He and Marty Rogers are out there working horses, which is such a help.
They are just awesome. I am feeling pretty useless waiting for my total hip replacements.

We also have a few broodmares for sale:

ESB Irish Ego - her bloodlines don't get much better!

Loads happening at 'Gold Fields'

The ESB breeding season is upon us and the mares are bagging up ready for foaling. The alarms are attached and turn on! Sleepness nights are about to begin.

The Bush Courtyard is open for business and I am in the process of organsing clinics, camps and events so that we can all start to enjoy this lovely facility.

The Gold Fields Stadium is looking great and has really stepped up another level. The Pony Club State Championships were a huge success and we now have a great cross country course, camping areas and sand arenas for everyone to enjoy.

Please feel free to inquire about any of these facilities. It is a great place to come for a visit by yourself or if you want to organise your own clinic or camp, give us a call 03 5432 2446.

I am back!

After twelve months of commuting to the UK, I am finally home to stay. We are so lucky here and really do live in the best country in the world.

THe UK position was an interesting time and provided me with a great opportunity to spend time with the UK horses. I am immensely grateful to Della, Lydia & Trevor Hannon for all their support and friendship, they really are a very special family. Lydia rides ESB Irish Exhibit (G) and Honour (H) and they are both so happy.

It was also great to catch up with Jenni Schmidt (ESB Irish Compassion); Tracey, Mark & Sam Brown (ESB Irish Frost); Alex Hua Tian (ESB Irish Fiddle); Campbell Baxter and other Aussie riders based in the UK. The eventing scene in the UK is so different to here and we can learn alot from it. It is unfortunate that the country is so messed up and in the current economic times, everyone seems very miserable.

UK riders claim victory

ESB Irish Exhibit wins his first official outing with Lydia Hannon.

This success follows a win from ESB Irish Compassion ridden by Jenni Schmidt.

ESB Irish Frost & Honour are yet to compete but are looking fantastic, so watch this space!

VALE ESB Irish Farthing

It is with deep regret that we lost this little one. The colt twin with Penny, which we fought so hard to save was brought home after being looked after so beautifully by Kieran and Helen Barry in Kilmore and then passed away overnight a week later.

Look us up on Facebook.

Congratulations Edith Kane & ESB Irish Jester

Awesome news - Edith & Justice will represent Australia as part of the 2009 YR Trans-Tasman Eventing Team! These two make a great team and will do all of us proud.

ESB Irish Justice is by ESB Irish Descent & out of Hubba Bubba (TB).

The Chef d'Equipe for this team is Niki Chapman and the coach will be Prue Barrett. All team members including the reserve, will arrive at Camperdown on midday Tuesday 14th April to take part in a training camp in the lead up to the event. The team will compete in the CIC2* against the New Zealand team. The top three scores for each team will count toward the final result. Go Edith!

Good luck! Aussie, Aussie, Aussie!

February: Back in the UK again

I can't believe that I am snow bound in below freezing conditions whilst bush fires and extreme temperatures ravage Victoria.

It certainly makes me wonder about what is causing all this and where it will all end.

The end of another breeding season!

Well the 2009 breeding season came to an abrupt end when I had to return to the UK.

My role as National Sales Manager for Bartercard UK had expanded a touch to take on the Training role as well.
